Food and Drink

Two interesting initiatives around food, drink and heritage in Scotland:

10,000 Hours

10,000 Hours is a photographic project which celebrates and shares the stories of craftspeople in all 32 different regions in Scotland. The book captures artists, crafters and food producers who are inspired by the land, using a combination of film photography, typewritten and handwritten text. Find out more.

Scotland’s Food and Drink Stories

Help uncover the story of Scotland’s food & drink heritage

The story of our food and drink is the story of Scotland itself – of our people, our landscape, our communities and our history.  The search is on to find Scotland’s most enticing, most delicious and most inspiring food and drink stories. Share your hidden gems and your treasured memories; your favourite picnic spots and your local food heroes.
