Tourism Industry Surveys

Please take the time to complete the surveys relevant to you and your organisation. Your assistance is appreciated and will really help to benefit the sector in its entirety. The combined findings of this entire cross-sectoral study will provide an invaluable tool to benefit Scottish tourism.

ASVA Visitor Attractions Performance and Prospects Survey

The ASVA survey can be accessed here and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Deadline: Noon, Friday 4 June.

It’s vital that as many attractions as possible take part so that ASVA can obtain an accurate indication of how the sector is performing, what its recovery prospects are, and what levels of business confidence are like. The data gathered will be used to produce an update on the sector’s current status and a forecast for the remainder of 2021. This will be shared with ASVA members and key stakeholders to inform them and assist their planning processes.

Importantly, the survey findings will enable ASVA to represent the best interests of its members, and the attractions sector as a whole, and will shape ongoing lobbying efforts with the Scottish and UK Governments.

To enable a ‘bigger picture’ of the current status of Scottish tourism to be gained, the Visitor Attractions Performance and Prospects survey is being run alongside similar surveys by three other sectoral bodies – Sail Scotland (which represents marine tourism operators), Wild Scotland (representing wildlife and adventure tourism operators) and ASSC: the Association of Scotland’s Self Caterers (for self-catering accommodation providers).
