Meet our keynote speaker, Women in Tourism member and industry leader, Louise MacLean.

Louise’s keynote address will focus on the importance of resilience and coping with challenges and change in the tourism and hospitality sector.  She will address all Women in Tourism guests at locations across Scotland, thanks to technology from our sponsors, Edinburgh Napier University.

Louise has worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty years.  After University, she joined Diageo on its Management Development Programme and spent seventeen years driving sales, launching brands and developing people.

She joined Signature in 2013 as a part-time Head of Sales, Marketing & PR and her role has grown as the business has grown from four venues to twenty-three, and a turnover of £5m to £46m.

Louise is now Director of Business Development, working across the business, most recently helping navigate the pandemic and the impact of the cost of living crisis on hospitality.

Married with two sons, Louise is Member of Women in Tourism and a Director of the Scottish Hospitality Group, set up to lobby the Scottish Government during the pandemic.
