Women in Tourism are delighted to announce that Dale MacPhee, General Manager of the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, will be hosting the Leadership workshop at our November YOYP Tourism Conference.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Dale has lived in Europe for 20 years, in locations including Bucharest, Prague, Istanbul and London.

After graduating in Political Science at Dalhousie University, Dale joined the Hilton Halifax for a summer job as Front Desk Receptionist 25 years ago. She has worked for Hilton Worldwide ever since, joining their luxury division, Waldorf Astoria as their first female General Manager in 2010.

Dale’s leadership style has allowed Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh to obtain several accolades through the years and in September 2017 Dale was awarded Hotelier of the Year by Business Women Scotland Magazine.

As well as a keynote speech, and an ‘Ask the CEO’ panel, conference delegates will have the opportunity to attend two out of three workshops taking place on the day, covering off the themes of Leadership, Social Media and Mentoring.

The Women in Tourism Year of Young People conference is open to all tourism industry professionals, offering a fantastic opportunity for those at different stages of their career to mix and network.
