We delighted to announce the panelists taking part in one of our afternoon sessions at the 2025 Women in Tourism conference. Taking place in the EICC on March 21, this session should be a really interesting discussion and resonate with many working across Scottish tourism.
In the next few weeks we’ll be introducing you to the various speakers and panelists who are taking part in the 2025 Women in Tourism conference. The agenda focuses on a range of topical discussions, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask them questions throughout the day.
On Friday 21 March, join us at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) for the 2025 Women in Tourism conference! The day will begin at 12:00 with a networking lunch, followed by a range of inspiring and thought-provoking sessions, before we close the day with a networking drinks reception.
Women In Tourism are seeking new Board Directors to join the membership organisation. In October 2024 it was announced that the Chair of WIT is stepping down after nearly a decade in post. This coincides with a few of the Directors also stepping down due to completion of service. We are now actively recruiting new Board Directors to join the existing Directors and invite applications from interested parties.
The Founder & Chair of Women in Tourism (WIT) is stepping down after nearly a decade in the role, and the Board Directors now seek a new Chair to lead WIT into its next phase of development. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious leader to drive the future of the organisation.
We’re absolutely delighted to introduce the 2024 Top 100 Women In Tourism!! Peer-nominated, the Top 100 was first launched back in 2018, and this is the fourth edition of this important initiative.
Tuesday 22 October: This morning it was announced that after nearly a decade in the role, Susan Russell is to step down as Chair of Women In Tourism. In 2015 Susan informally gathered a small group of industry leaders together to discuss the opportunities and challenges of women working within Scottish tourism, and pitched the idea of a new membership organisation that could inspire, motivate and encourage women into leadership roles.
We are delighted to announce the search for the 2024 Top 100 Women In Tourism! Initially launched in 2018, this will be the third time this important, bi-annual initiative will have taken place.
Next year it will have been ten years since the founding members of Women In Tourism came together to discuss both the challenges and opportunities of being a woman working within the tourism industry. In 2017 the group was formally created as a membership organisation, and since then we have seen significant change, and with that, one of the most turbulent periods (globally) in our industry’s history.
